Your Custom Engagement Ring: From First Choices to Delivery
The clearest custom-ring experience starts with a shared understanding of what is being made, when production begins and which decisions still need approval. A delivery estimate is useful only when everyone is counting from the same point.
For AIMINIA’s standard made-to-order process, the published estimate is approximately 1–2 weeks of production, followed by approximately 3–5 business days of tracked express transit after dispatch. These are different stages, not a promise that a fully bespoke project arrives within a fixed number of days. [1]

From design choices to a finished ring: an editorial concept, not a specific order record.
First, distinguish configuration from bespoke design
Choosing listed options—such as a diamond shape, metal, fineness, center-stone size or ring size—is not necessarily the same as commissioning a new setting from scratch. The reference configurator provides several of these options, but it does not establish that every possible redesign is available. [2]
A request outside the standard options may need feasibility review, a separate quotation, additional materials or design approval. AIMINIA’s timeline says the team will contact you before production when CAD or customization approval is required. That is not a promise that every ordinary order includes CAD drawings or unlimited design revisions. [1]
The complete sequence
| Stage | What needs to happen | Time expectation |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Discuss the request | Clarify design, budget, size and intended delivery date | No universal consultation deadline stated |
| 2. Confirm the order | Agree on the actual configuration, price and documentation | Depends on completing the order details |
| 3. Approve special design work, if required | Resolve CAD or other customization questions before production | Order-specific; revisions can add time |
| 4. Produce the ring | Make, set, finish and inspect the piece | Standard published production estimate: approximately 1–2 weeks |
| 5. Dispatch and transit | Email tracking; carrier transports the order | Approximately 3–5 business days after dispatch, subject to destination and delays |
| 6. Receive and check | Inspect the ring, documentation and fit | Check promptly after delivery |
The production and transit figures are published AIMINIA estimates. The other stages describe the decisions that need to be completed; they are not invented fixed-day service commitments. [1]
Before production: put the choices in writing
A helpful order summary records the requested silhouette, gold color and fineness, center-stone specifications, ring size, any engraving and the documents expected with the completed order. For engraving, check spelling, punctuation and the intended appearance carefully.
If you are choosing between D/VS1 and E/VVS1, record the exact combination rather than a general phrase such as “the best diamond.” If the center stone has not yet been allocated, ask when its specific details and report can be supplied. Confirm whether your desired arrival date is feasible before building a proposal plan around it.
For a design requiring approval, distinguish a visual concept from final production specifications. Ask which dimensions and details you are approving and whether a later change would affect cost or timing. Do not assume that an illustration establishes the exact final stone, proportions or metal color.

CAD visualization may be used when an order requires design approval; this is not AIMINIA workshop photography.
During production: understand what the estimate includes
The standard production stage includes crafting, setting, finishing and final inspection under AIMINIA’s published process. It would be misleading to add separate invented “CAD days,” “setting days” and “quality-control days” to create a timetable that the brand has not confirmed. [1]
For a materially customized project, request an order-specific schedule instead. Revisions or changes to materials can move the start or completion date. Once work has begun, ask about the consequences before changing the design; cancellation and modification options can depend on production progress. [1][3]
A useful update request is specific: “Has the approved configuration entered production?” or “Is the planned dispatch date still achievable?” It is easier to answer than treating the initial estimate as a guaranteed arrival date.
Dispatch is not the same as delivery
After dispatch, AIMINIA emails tracking details. The published transit estimate is approximately 3–5 business days, and tracking can take up to 24 hours to activate. Destination, customs and carrier disruptions can affect arrival. A carrier scan is a more useful source for a parcel’s current status than the original production estimate. [1]
For a proposal, anniversary or trip, communicate the event date and allow contingency time. There is no single responsible buffer that guarantees every destination and custom order. Avoid booking an irreversible reveal around the earliest possible delivery estimate without confirmation.

Inspect the ring, documentation and fit promptly after delivery; packaging shown is illustrative.
When the ring arrives
Check the requested configuration, visible condition, included documents and fit. Keep packaging and paperwork while resolving any question. AIMINIA asks customers to report damage, defects or an incorrect item within seven days of delivery; its policy states that this does not limit statutory consumer rights. [3]
Do not rush into engraving, third-party work or a resize before understanding the implications. Eligible unworn, unaltered items may qualify for a return within 90 days of delivery, with prior authorization and the policy’s conditions. Engraved items, post-delivery resized items, final-sale pieces and materially customized designs are excluded from ordinary eligible returns unless defective or incorrect. [3]
One complimentary standard resize within 90 days is subject to whether the design can safely be resized. Confirm eligibility before treating it as a solution to an uncertain size. [4]
The timeline to remember
Confirm the design → complete any required approval → approximately 1–2 weeks of standard production → approximately 3–5 business days of transit → inspect and confirm fit. Special design work and unforeseen delays sit outside a simple guaranteed countdown.
